Austart Turbine starters contain no rubbing parts eliminating the need for lubrication and extending the duration between servicing. They are designed to withstand harsh environments such as underground coal mines and Oil & Gas installations. Many options suit engines from 1 litre to 400 litre displacement. These include pre-engaged or inertia style drive systems, enclosed nose cones or overhung pinion arrangements, and Steel or Beryllium Copper Bronze (BCB) pinion options.

Our driving mechanism is a specially designed 3-stage high-speed turbine wheel with aerodynamic braking. The rotating energy is transferred through a series of reduction gears providing the necessary torque and speed to accommodate the particular engine’s specifications.
